Watch Out For Jellyfish, Guam!

As the holidays are here, what is more relaxing than a day of swimming at the beach?!

Please be safe as we are in the end of the year which means strong winds and high surf are to be expected.

Recently, the Portugese Man-o'-War have been seen in the waters of the eastern side of Guam.
Please be aware of what is below the surface of the waters you swim in.

Jellyfish are usually seen between 7-9 days after a full moon, so check the check your moon charts to plan out your swimming days!

For more information on the jellyfish, please contact the Guam Department of Agriculture, Division of Aquatics and Wildlife Resources or fisheries.
